The Resort at a Glance

Ischgl, located in Austria’s Paznaun Valley, is one of the country’s most famous ski resorts, known for its extensive slopes, high-altitude snow reliability, and vibrant après-ski scene.

Sitting at 1,377 metres with lifts reaching up to 2,872 metres, it forms part of the Silvretta Arena, offering over 239 kilometres of interconnected pistes shared with the Swiss resort of Samnaun. Skiers and snowboarders of all abilities will find something to enjoy: beginners have access to gentle nursery slopes, intermediates can cruise on long, well-groomed blue and red runs, and advanced riders can tackle challenging reds, blacks, and off-piste terrain. Snowboarders benefit from multiple terrain parks, freeride zones, and wide carving runs.

The town of Ischgl is lively, with a mix of stylish shops, gourmet restaurants, and an internationally renowned nightlife and après-ski culture.

Accommodation options are extensive and varied, ranging from luxury hotels and spa resorts to mid-range alpine hotels, cosy chalets, and self-catering apartments. Budget-friendly guesthouses and pensions are also available, though the resort tends to be more expensive than many Austrian ski areas.
